Pop Warner Super Bowl and Cheer/Dance National Championship!

The Science Cheerleaders will be participating in the Pop Warner Super Bowl, leading science cheers, engaging cheerleaders and football players in citizen science, and thanking these scholar athletes for participating in the NASA Asteroid Initiative!

Join 100  participants for “Informing NASA’s Asteroid Initiative: A Citizen Forum,”  an in-person deliberation at the Museum of Science in Boston as NASA invites the public to learn about and weigh in on its Asteroid Initiative.

Science Cheerleader Christine will be talking with visitors at the Cradle of Aviation Tech-Ed Day about science careers and citizen science!

Discovery Days at AT&T Park
San Francisco, CA
Science Cheerleader and our sister site, SciStarter, will have a booth at this culminating event for the Bay Area Science Festival to talk about women in STEM, citizen science and NASA’s Asteroid Initiative.

Science at the Bulls
Chicago, IL
Science Cheerleader Tracy and several teams of  Pop Warner cheerleaders performed prior to the Chicago Bulls game and then shared information about citizen science and NASA’s Asteroid Initiative!

Science Cheerleaders Lauren, Margaret, Stephanie, and Tynesha interacted with attendees of NASA’s “Women in Aviation and Space Heritage Family Days,” promoting NASA’s Asteroid Initiative.

 

Girl Scouts Super STEM Expo
Atlanta, GA
Partnering with the Atlanta Science Festival, Science Cheerleaders Kristin, Mimi, and Zenobia joined the Girl Scouts of America at their annual Super STEM Expo at the North Atlanta Trade Center. The Science Cheerleaders helped promote the Science Festival and engage scouts and their leaders in citizen science, including NASA’s Asteroid Initiative!

Dragon*Con Parade
Downtown Atlanta, GA
Science Cheerleaders Brandi, Desiree, Jessica T, and Kristin joined the annual Dragon*Con Parade in downtown Atlanta. They marched with other citizen science evangelists including Pamela Gay from CosmoQuest, and the Free Thought Society.

 

North Texas Pop Warner Cheerleading Meeting
North Dallas, TX
Science Cheerleader Jessica M talked with Pop Warner Cheerleaders from three different Dallas-area squads about careers in STEM and led the parents through our NASA public participation activity.
