2009 is the Year of Science and one way to celebrate science and broaden its appeal is to share BIG ideas in simple ways. Enter, the Zine-a-Thon contest. Zines are tiny magazines or booklets often designed to be left behind on a bus, coffee shop counter or other places non-scientists frequent. It’s a clever way to teach science to the unsuspecting.
If you have a talent for illustrating, narrating, or just folding paper come to think of it, this contest is for you. Shout out to the Coalition for the Public Understanding of Science for organizing the Year of Science celebration.
