So it hasn’t been “weekly.”  Sorry about that.  But when I’m not collecting dozens of really cool links for #scimom I’m reading some of the best the science blogosphere has to offer.  And this week I’ve found some links that might creep you out a bit.
First, did you know there’s a fungus that eats ant brains and turns those ants into zombies?  For real.
If that’s not creepy enough, Cory Doctorow at Boing Boing shares a video from Georgia Tech about how groups of ants act like fluids – you know, like the bad guy in Terminator 2 but it’s ants and there’s no Sarah Connor.
Of course, you can learn more about the different kinds of ants in California by checking out this interactive map from the folks at Quest.
But the scariest post I’ve found is from the self-proclaimed “Scary Disease Girl” Maryn McKenna – who reports that drug-resistant bacteria called MRSA has been found in some bedbugs.  Don’t let ’em bite, indeed…
