I enjoyed reading the article in the current issue of C&EN about your efforts to promote science and technology. I also looked at your website, which was very impressive as well.
Do you think you could find someone to be a “technology cheerleader”? I can think of many technologies that would benefit society but that are not being implemented for various reasons. Probably the most important reason is that few people know about them. I’m sure you realize that many engineers are notoriously bad at selling their ideas.

This is a wind energy technology that is far superior to the conventional “propeller on a stick” wind turbine design in almost every way, but it is not being implemented. I think in this case a little publicity would help a lot.
