Rachel here! I’m sharing some pictures from my SciCheer appearance, sponsored by Sonendo.
Sonendo kindly arranged for my travel out to the Pacific Northwest for their sponsored 5K and fun run/walk at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Session on May 8. I had the pleasure of being up before sunrise to make announcements, warm up the runners and meet and greet along with take photos with everyone afterward. There was a great turnout and the runners felt warmed up, but not too wiped out, prior to their run around downtown Seattle and the waterfront. I was able to thank everyone for their generous donations to the Fisher House of Puget Sound letting them know through my experience of being a Navy nurse how their donations have truly impacted wounded service members and their families.
Everyone was happy to hear about, and ask questions regarding, Science Cheerleader! I met many fellow veterans, and folks that live around my home area in the process! We had a beautiful weekend with great weather and I was luckily able to take in a few Seattle must-see sites before heading back East.
