It has been convincingly argued that AIDS in Africa will not be controlled until malaria is controlled first. In short, the argument is that men in Africa see no need to practice safe sex to protect anyone from AIDS since there is such a high risk that they will die young from malaria anyway.
I’ve spent years working and living in malaria infested parts of the world and ALWAYS took my quinine tablets. Anyone else going there should do the same.
