Last time we got an update from Tynesha, it was 2013! Check out her original interview, here. At the time, she was a patent examiner for the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and a cheerleader for the Baltimore Blast! Read on to see what’s she’s accomplished since then.
Tell us about your work
I still work at the USPTO as a Chemistry Patent Examiner in the Food Division. Last year, I was recognized by the USPTO for ten years of service in the US Government. Time surely does fly by when you’re having fun! In 2015, I issued a patent by Mars, Incorporated pertaining to flavors that were exhibited at the Innovation Festival held at Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
Are you still cheering?
After auditioning for various NFL and NBA teams for 10 years, I FINALLY made it as a Baltimore Ravens Cheerleader for the 2018 NFL season. Cheering on the Ravens was everything I dreamed and more. It was well worth the wait! Interacting with our fans as well as our community was an incredible experience!
What was your favorite experience?
Although there are tons to pick from, some of my favorite moments as a Ravens Cheerleader include guest judging the Halloween costumes at BARCStoberfest, helping children shop for toys during the 10th Annual Holiday Helpers, and, of course, cheering the Ravens on during homes games and the AFC Wild Card game of the 2019 NFL Playoffs.
