We had a great time at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum on Saturday, September 14!
The Science Cheerleaders from local NFL and NBA teams were on hand to help visitors participate in our research project to compare the population and behavior of microbes on Earth to those in space. Learn more about Project MERCCURI!
Thanks to the Smithsonian’s Mychalene Giampaoli for inviting the Science Cheerleaders to participate in the museum’s fabulous Heritage Family Day series!
See more pictures from the event, here!
Really interesting Darlene, thanks!
I think that you would be really interested in some recent research that I have come across about crowds and citizen science. In particular I feel you may find these two emerging pieces of research very relevant:
– The Theory of Crowd Capital

– The Contours of Crowd Capability

Powerful stuff!
