Science Cheerleader Talmesha here! Here’s a cool event STEMconnector®, an organization I’m working for, is planning. STEMConnector® maps and connects players in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education activities in organizations and all 50 states.
STEMconnector is hosting the Million Women Mentors event on Wednesday, January 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.
STEMconnector is building a network of 1 million women mentors in STEM to connect with over 10 million girls across the country! We will be recruiting mentors from the private sector, government agencies, state STEM networks, non-profits, and educational institutions around the nation.
STEM mentors from the Science Cheerleaders will kick off the event! They include cheerleaders from the Washington Redskins, Washington Wizards and Baltimore Blast who are pursuing STEM careers!
